The Turnspit was an ugly, lowly, kitchen dog that was bred to run upon a wheel connected to a spit over the fire. After the invention of the Roasting Jack, this loyal, hard working, and intelligent, cur was cast into extinction and with it a breed that has accompanied man since antiquity, was lost forever, for the regrettable reason that it didn't meet the beauty standards of the time enough to warrant its continued existence as a beloved house pet.

After being passed the Oldtimer1 clone only mother line to Smile, Celia, by the man himself with full blessings in 2021, Turnspit Genetics was born to preserve and maintain high quality heirloom & hybrid cannabis varieties in seed for psychoactive effect - regardless of whether they conform to todays cannabis beauty standards. With an emphasis on FUNCTION over FORM, we honorably borrow the Turnspits Dogs name for Turnspit Genetics as a reminder of the unique cannabis chemovars that have been lost, because they didn't look good in the bag.
