ThugPug Genetics gained a reputation in the United States and elsewhere for their potent and unique varieties, including the likes of Peanut Butter Breath and Meat Breath. Likewise, 3rd Coast Genetics has also turned many heads with their artful approach to cannabis breeding. After putting their experienced minds together, the breeders managed to tease out a massive THC content of 29% in Pure Michigan. The sheer psychoactivity of their creation quickly attracted many keen growers and smokers, helping this cultivar become massively popular in a short window of time.

Also known as Oreo Cookies, Oreoz played a big role in the potency of Pure Michigan. As the indica-dominant offspring of parent cultivars Cookies N Cream and Secret Weapon, she possesses an average THC content of 28%. It goes without saying that it only takes a couple of hits to experience everything that Oreoz has to offer—a deeply stoning high that reddens the eyes and relaxes the muscles.
