Gush Mints is a mostly indica variety from PCG and can be cultivated indoors (where the plants will need a flowering time of ±67 days) and outdoors. PCGs Gush Mints is a THC dominant variety and is/was only available as feminized seeds.

Gush Mints is a popular indica-dominant cannabis strain. A descendant of the almighty Cookies line, Gush Mints combines genetics from three unique Cookies varieties, resulting in a high-potency hybrid that consistently produces great bud, both in commercial and hobby gardens.

Strain History of Gush Mints

Gush Mints is a noteworthy creation from Purple City Genetics (PCG), a cannabis collective founded in Oakland, California in 2008. Purple City Genetics has a large grow operation and laboratory in Oakland where it produces all of its clones and seed stock for large-scale commercial cannabis producers, dispensaries, and home growers. While the collective produces countless strains every year, Gush Mints is still one of PCG's flagship hybrids. Unfortunately, the brand hasn't released any information regarding the strain's exact origins.

Genetic Lineage of Gush Mints

Gush Mints was created from a cross of Kush Mints, F1 Durb, and Gushers. All three strains are Cookies descendants and, through the hard work of PCG's breeders, produced a stable and vigorous indica-dominant hybrid with great aromas and a ton of THC.

Gush Mints' first parent is Kush Mints. A cross of the infamous Bubba Kush and Animal Cookies, Kush Mints is a beloved hybrid from Seed Junky Genetics. It is popular due to its strong cookie aroma enhanced with dank notes of gas and pine. Its high THC levels culminate in strong effects that relax the body and elevate the mind.

The second parent of Gush Mints is F1 Durb. Created by Cookies breeder Jigga, F1 Durb is also the predecessor of GSC and Cherry Pie. To preserve Cookies genetics, F1 Durb isn't available for sale in seed or clone form.

Finally, Gush Mints' 3rd parent is Gushers (also known as Fruit Gushers or White Gushers). Bred from Gelato 41 and Triangle Kush, Gushers is another Cookies Fam strain beloved by smokers all over the globe for its gummy candy aromas and relaxing, mellow buzz.

Physical Characteristics of Gush Mints

According to Purple City Genetics, Gush Mints is only slightly indica dominant. Cultivators claim that the strain is extremely vigorous, growing rapidly throughout the vegetative phase, with large, broad leaves and strong stalks. Before blooming, Gush Mints plants stretch considerably and can grow into large bushes outdoors or in big pots. True to her indica-leaning genes, Gush Mints has tightly spaced nodes.

Once in flower, Gush Mints plants grow long colas with dense clusters of buds and few leaves. As they mature, Gush Mints buds lose their vibrant green sheen and instead develop cool blue hues that eventually fade into a rich, deep purple.
