Seed Junky Genetics originated in Southern California, where it is still located. The brand's founder, Andrew Hart (JBeezy), is a highly respected figure in the genetics industry and, together with his team of growers and breeders, has created a long list of high-profile hybrids, including:

Genetic Lineage of Animal Mints

There is some debate regarding the exact genetics of Animal Mints. And with little information available from Seed Junky about this strain, it's difficult to ascertain where exactly it stems from. The leading theory is that Animal Mints is the culmination of two Cookies giants: Animal Cookies and SinMint Cookies. However, some sources suggest that it actually stems from Animal Cookies, GSC, and Blue Power. We'll explore all of these strains in more detail below.

Animal Cookies, sometimes called Animal Crackers, is a Cookies hybrid bred from GSC and Fire OG. It is believed to have a fairly even split of both indica and sativa genetics, though its heavy, sleepy stone would suggest otherwise. Known to preserve the classic earthy, sweet cookie aroma that the whole Cookies line is known for, Animal Cookies is a delicious and aromatic smoke loved by many who have tried it. As is to be expected from such a deeply relaxing strain, Animal Cookies is especially popular among medical cannabis patients needing potent relief.

SinMint Cookies was originally created by Sin City Seeds from GSC and Blue Power. It is also thought to be a fairly well-balanced hybrid and is known to produce a hard-hitting euphoria immediately after you inhale her vapor or smoke, combined with a strong body buzz. As her name suggests, SinMint Cookies smells super fresh and minty with upfront menthol notes layered on top of a nutty, earthy base.

GSC, formerly known as Girl Scout Cookies, is the almighty queen of the Cookies line. An indica-dominant cross of OG Kush and Durban Poison, GSC is known for its potent effects and strong aroma that combines a mouthwatering sweetness with hints of mint, earth, and spice—reminiscent of the actual cookies she is named after. Blue Power is another Sin City Seeds flagship strain. An indica-dominant hybrid, Blue Power combines genes from Sour Dubble, Master Kush, The White, and Blue Moonshine. Animal Mints' foliage is bright green and gradually darkens as the strain reaches maturity. Its buds boast a tight structure and a good leaf-to-flower ratio, making for easy pruning. Animal Mints flowers tend to be bright green, though they take on beautiful purple-black hints as they ripen. Animal Mints buds also seem to be prone to foxtailing, which can lend them odd and eye-catching shapes.
