Northern Lights Express

Northern Lights Express is an automatic flowering ruderalis/indica/sativa variety from Phoenix Seeds and can be cultivated indoors, outdoors and in the greenhouse where the female, autoflowering plants need ±70 days from the seedling to the harvest. Phoenix Seeds' Northern Lights Express is a THC dominant variety and is/was only available as feminized seeds.

Phoenix Seeds' Northern Lights Express Description

One of the most amazing and best loved strains in the world is now available in an Express Auto Feminised form. Northern Lights is an Indica dominant strain which first came to the forefront of the cannabis community in the 1970s. It was born in the United States using a combination of Afghani genetics. By the 80s Northern Lights was just hitting Holland and not long after it became the bar for cannabis all over the world.

The ways in which cannabis is bred and grown are constantly changing year by year. A number of new techniques have been springing up and this strain of auto-flowering feminised Northern Lights works well with every single one of them. It is ideal for indoor growing but also thrives in a warm, outdoors climate. The flowering part of the growing process begins straight away and the plant with be ready for harvest in just 9 or 10 weeks.

The yield on these plants is not to be sniffed at; often it will produce up to 200g per plant but will at least consistently produce around 90g. Usually the plants will grow to a height of 2 – 3 feet making it on the larger side for an automatic strain.

Much like the original Northern Lights this feminised auto-flowering version has a relaxing effect with a deliciously sweet taste. Everything about the plant is the same as the original; it has simply been given the gift of automatic flowering. This plant comes highly recommended for medicinal users due to its high CBD content.

As previously mentioned this strain is not just auto-flowering, it is also feminised. Feminised seeds have become extremely popular due to the fact that they completely remove the male plants from the equation. Male plants would usually take up around half of a crop and would cost the grower a lot of time, money and effort. The male plants need to be removed before the flowering process or they can interfere with the females.

The feminised seeds will also produce higher quality plants which will usually be quite uniform. This makes the overall growing process so simple that even the newest growers can cultivate a seriously impressive crop.
