Bodhi Seeds' Tigers Milk Description

Bodhi Seeds Tigers Milk

Tiger's Milk is a hybrid cannabis strain bred by a highly respected yet mysterious US breeder. It boasts a novel aroma inherited from beloved US strains, as well as an excellent high that elevates the mind before leaving users in a sleepy, relaxing daze. Keep reading to learn more about Tiger's Milk, its genetics, history, effects, and more.

History of the Tiger's Milk Cannabis Strain

Tiger's Milk is a cannabis strain created by Bodhi of Bodhi Seeds, a mysterious breeder who has created a plethora of strains, many of which descend from landrace genetics he collected while travelling. Unfortunately, Bodhi is very low-key and shares very little information about his strains, their origins, and growth traits.

In interviews, Bodhi explains that he has long had a passion for entheogenic plants/fungi/concoctions like ayahuasca, mushrooms, and mescaline cacti. His passion for cannabis, however, came later, after learning about the spiritual space the plant occupied in regions such as the Himalayas. Today, Bodhi continues to preach about cannabis' role as a spiritual plant and encourages users, growers, and breeders to explore the realm of cannabis and spirituality more profoundly. Other famous strains created by Bodhi Seeds include:

• Goji OG

• Love Triangle

• Mother's Milk

• Lucky Charms

Genetic Lineage of Tiger's Milk

Tiger’s Milk descends from Bubba Kush and Appalachia. Below we'll take a look at both of these strains to see what they may have imparted to Tiger's Milk.

Bubba Kush, Tiger's Milk's first parent, is a legendary indica-dominant cannabis hybrid. For a very long time, the strain's origins remained a mystery, until Matt Berger, a breeder originally from Florida, stood up to take credit for creating Bubba Kush in the 1990s. Ever since its creation, Bubba Kush has only grown in popularity. Producing dense, bright green flowers covered in sugary resin, Bubba Kush boasts a rich aroma of hashish enhanced with earthy notes of sweet coffee, floral undertones, as well as hints of musky incense. Its effects are a testament to the relaxing, soothing qualities of Cannabis indica, wrapping the mind in a warm, calm, and slightly distorted euphoria while relaxing the entire body. According to cannabis folklore, Bodhi used a cut of Pre-98 Bubba Kush—a unique variety that dates back to the early 1990s.

Tiger's Milk's second parent is Appalachia, a unique hybrid created by High & Lonesome Seeds. Combining genetics from Green Crack and Tres Dawg, Appalachia is beloved for its dank aroma of ripe mango and earthy pine, as well as its balance of physical and mental effects. Appalachia's high is usually described as sativa-leaning, producing a focus-inducing mental buzz followed by a relaxing, physical stone. Appalachia is one of High & Lonesome's best-selling varieties, and the breeder has continued to produce the strain in seed form across several generations. Many breeders, including Bodhi, use Appalachia in their crosses thanks to the strain's excellent resin production, sativa-like effects, and short 7–8-week flowering time.

Physical Characteristics of Tiger's Milk

Tiger's Milk is a vigorous strain that grows fairly tall. According to reports from growers, Tiger's Milk seeds produce strong seedlings with bright green, broad leaves that thin out as the plants mature. Vegging Tiger's Milk plants have a solid central stem and, once in bloom, may stretch considerably before producing dense flowers with a thick, white coating of resin. Mature Tiger's Milk buds boast a tight structure with large, round calyxes and fiery pistils. Many experienced growers report seeing traits of both Bubba Kush and Green Crack varieties in Tiger's Milk's structure and morphology.

Properties and Effects of Tiger's Milk

Though its exact cannabinoid levels aren't known, Tiger's Milk is rumored to contain around 20% THC and only trace amounts of secondary cannabinoids. Its aroma and flavor profile is very complex, mixing common notes of citrus, earth, and skunk with creamy, milky undertones, hints of vanilla, and a spicy kick. Expect to smell and taste the earthy coffee/vanilla notes of Bubba Kush mixed with the spice and citrus of Green Crack (one of Appalachia's parent strains). Some users also pick up on notes of overripe mango and musky hints of tobacco. Unfortunately, there is no information available about the exact terpenes in this strain, though its aroma suggests it may contain:

• Myrcene

• Caryophyllene

• Limonene

• Humulene

The effects of Tiger's Milk are strong, just like with Bubba Kush, though notably more balanced. A great afternoon or evening smoke, Tiger's Milk will hit you with a rush of euphoria immediately after your first hit. This burst of positive energy will plow over any stressful or ruminating thoughts lingering in your mind, leaving you in a happy, relaxed, yet alert state of bliss. As this mental buzz continues to elevate and then plateaus, the strain's warm, physical effects will make themselves known, leaving you feeling as if your grandma tucked you in under a fuzzy blanket.

Uses of Tiger's Milk

Tiger's Milk is very popular among recreational users given its strong effects and delicious aromas and flavors. Thanks to its heady euphoria and creeping physical embrace, recreational users report enjoying this strain:

• After work or working out

• While walking or relaxing outdoors

• While watching movies, playing video games, or listening to music

• In the company of close friends/family

Besides making for a fun and delicious recreational smoke, Tiger's Milk has won the favor of medical cannabis users as well. Medical marijuana patients praise this strain for its uplifting and relaxing effects, and report using it in hopes of addressing the following symptoms/conditions, among others:

• Stress

• Anxiety

• Depression

• PTSD

• Insomnia and other sleep issues

• Headaches

• Chronic inflammation and inflammatory pain

• Mood disorders

• ADD/ADHD

Unlike many other modern cannabis strains, Tiger's Milk reportedly produces very few side effects. In fact, a lot of users (both recreational and medical) recommend this strain to those who normally experience paranoia and anxiety when using cannabis. However, it may still cause:

• Dizziness

• Dry mouth and eyes

Cultivation and Production of Tiger's Milk

As mentioned, Tiger's Milk was bred by Bodhi Seeds. Unfortunately, Bodhi strains can be difficult to come by and quickly sell out once in stock. At the time of writing this strain entry, Tiger's Milk seeds are out of stock at seed retailers that normally stock Bodhi strains. However, if you happen to get your hands on Tiger's Milk in the future, you can expect to grow a fairly tall strain with strong hybrid genetics and plenty of vigor.

As they veg, Tiger's Milk plants reach moderate to tall heights, so topping, fimming, and other forms of training are recommended. Defoliation may also help to promote more light exposure to the plant's lower bud sites. Once in bloom, Tiger's Milk plants take approximately 8 weeks to reach maturity. When exposed to cooler temperatures, Tiger's Milk may develop some light purple hues similar to its Appalachia parent. Once trimmed, dried, and cured, the flowers boast a tight structure of stacked calyxes, thick resin coverage throughout, and red pistils. Unfortunately, we don't know the average yields for this strain.

Tiger's Milk — A Trippy Hybrid From Bodhi Seeds

Tiger's Milk is a hybrid cannabis strain bred by Bodhi Seeds, a low-key breeder with a strong spiritual connection to cannabis and a passion for landrace strains. Combining genetics from Pre-98 Bubba Kush and Appalachia, Tiger's Milk produces vigorous plants that grow considerably tall and produce dense, resin-rich flowers with intense effects and a rich aroma of sweet milk, coffee, skunk, and musk. Unfortunately, Tiger's Milk seeds are out of stock at the time of writing this strain entry.
