Emerald Triangle - Lost Coast OG

This signature OG is a great example of what California has become famous for. We crossed heirloom genetics (Pakistani Kush and Lemon Thai) from seeds brought to California 40 years with the legendary Chemdawg #4 to provide a distinct taste and high. One puff and you will see why so many people around the world are so obsessed with anything OG. This girl features wide internodal spacing, filled with clusters of rock-hard, golf ball-sized buds below the large terminal colas. Due to its rapid vegetative growth, this plant should be induced early when working with smaller spaces. Performs best in a trellis to support its large colas, and flourishes in slightly cooler temperatures (72-77 Fahrenheit, 22-25 Celsius). This incredibly potent strain comes on strong, turning the corners of your lips upward and causing you to join in the nearest conversation. The taste is dominated by citrus and sour, with the legendary Kush fl avor balancing it out. A truly great combination of indica and sativa, providing you with a little bit of almost everything people look for in cannabis. Medically, Lost Coast OG has become renowned for its superior treatment of chronic pain, migraines, depression and a host of other medical conditions. One of Californiaís most potent and sought-after strains.

Only germinated a single fem seed (from 3) but I am very impressed with this strain and Emerald Triangle in general. I also did a single plant each of their Super Sour OG and Grapefruit Krush. 7 plants outdoors this year from 7 different strains and Lost Coast OG was definitely my strongest plant in terms of growth. In the end, she was around 7» tall. I wouldn«t go as far as to say she was strechy, but she certainly had some internode space. The plant really filled out late veg into early flower. Started flowering late July and was ready last week of September. If you can, I«d recommend letting it flower the full 9 weeks. Average feeder in veg, but don»t be afraid to let her have it in flower. She can handle it. I had a very sudden and severe foliage die-off in the 5th week of flower. My outdoor plants always do, but never so rapidly and a little earlier in flower than I would like. Above average branching on this plant full of thick, heavy buds with a thick main stalk to support all that weight with the help of stakes, of course. Mold wasn«t an issue since this plant finished before that usually becomes an issue where I»m at. Overall, a strong, sturdy plant that can handle the harsh outdoors. Takes the summer heat pretty well and isn«t a bug magnet. Not sure why, but some strains seem like they attract bugs more than others. Doesn«t need anything fancy. With plenty of sun, adequate substrate, and proper feeding you will be very satisfied come fall. Emerald Triangle seems like the real deal. Great genetics at a reasonable price with accurate strain desciptions from what Iíve seen. Canít wait to crack my 2 remaining seeds.

There are three phenos - the info here is about the one that is the most rewardind in terms of yield, but also the least potent one... The other two phenos show different and more exquisite characteristics in terms of taste and smell and are a just a tad more potent. The most potent pheno also has the most trichs and is very beautiful - also buds are quite more compact from the ones on pheno 3.
Astonishing yield, very potent and long lasting - no burn-out effect and almost no couch-lock. Very happy, fresh and up high, but if you smoke too much it can put you down for a while. Not very recommended for night-time use, by my opinion.
