True Canna Genetics' Grape Gas Description

True Canna Genetics Grape Gas

Grape Gasoline, also known simply as Grape Gas, is a dank cannabis hybrid with dark purple flowers and a pungent, sweet, and gassy aroma. It was bred by one of the US' most prolific modern breeders and has become a popular choice among smokers from all walks of life. Learn all there is to know about Grape Gasoline below.

History of Grape Gasoline Cannabis

Grape Gasoline is the creation of iconic cannabis breeder Chris Lynch. Chris created the strain during his time at Compound Genetics, a cannabis company he founded in 2017. Chris is highly respected throughout the US and the globe for his strain creations, many of which have become best-sellers thanks to his collaborations with Cookies and other high-profile cannabis brands. Chris left Compound Genetics in 2022 to form Cipher Genetics, a new moniker under which he continues to create new hybrid cannabis varieties.

Genetic Lineage of Grape Gasoline

Grape Gasoline is a hybrid cannabis strain, presumably with some indica dominance given its tight bud structure and purple colouration (see Physical Characteristics of Grape Gas below). It's the result of a cross between Grape Pie and Jet Fuel Gelato.

Grape Pie is a indica-dominant strain created by Cannarado Genetics from a cross of Cherry Pie and Grape Stomper. It is known for its dense, fragrant flowers that pack up to 20% THC and a rich mix of sweet, grape and berry terpenes. Grape Pie is typically rich in myrcene, limonene, and linalool, which not only provide its delicious aroma but also contribute to the strain's heavy-handed, sedative stone. Most users experience an initial euphoric hit right after smoking Grape Pie, followed by a creeping, physical body buzz that soothes the muscles, eases pain, and promotes hunger and sleep.

Jet Fuel Gelato, on the other hand, is a famous Compound Genetics creation that has birthed a whole line of new hybrids. While its genetics are often heavily debated, Compound Genetics has confirmed that this gassy hybrid descends from a cross of Jet Fuel (AKA G6) and Gelato. This cross resulted in a vigorous hybrid that produces dense, spade-shaped flowers with eye-catching purple and black hues. Its aroma is fresh, fruity, and gassy, while its high concentration of THC (up to 25%) produces a creeping, euphoric high that many smokers enjoy in the morning or during the day.

Physical Characteristics of Grape Gasoline Weed

Grape Gas is an indica-dominant strain that produces stocky, bushy plants. The strain is said to veg vigorously and stretch notably before producing dense, dark flowers. As they approach harvest, Grape Gasoline plants take on dark purple, almost black hues. Their buds develop tight stacks of round, thick calyxes with bright orange pistils and a frosty coat of resin - a real treat for the eyes.

Properties/Effects of Grape Gasoline

Grape Gasoline is a potent hybrid that usually packs between 20-25% THC, though some batches may be stronger. It also packs plenty of aromatic terpenes, including myrcene, limonene, and caryophyllene, though it may also contain reasonable amounts of linalool and pinene. Combined, these compounds produce Grape Gas' pungent aroma - as you'd expect from its name, Grape Gasoline boasts upfront notes of grape and diesel, followed by more subtle notes of earth and pepper. Open a bag of Grape Gas buds, close your eyes, and you'll feel as if you're sipping a purple Slurpee on your way out of the gas station. Roll and light one up, and Grape Gasoline will douse your tastebuds in full-bodied, sweet smoke with upfront notes of ripe grapes, followed by earthy undertones and hints of spice on the exhale. Connoisseurs with a trained palate and nose may also pick up subtle hints of fresh pine.

Thanks to her potency, Grape Gasoline doesn't take very long to deliver her strong effects. Grape Gas is most commonly described as uplifting and energizing, delivering a fast-onset cerebral buzz that will appeal to sativa smokers. At first, the effects of Grape Gas will let you focus on work or chores for a bit. Close behind this initial cerebral stimulus, however, you'll detect a physical buzz that tends to grow and creep, relaxing the muscles, easing pain, and providing an overall sense of well-being. If you have a high tolerance for THC and cannabis, Grape Gasoline may serve as a great afternoon weekday smoke, or ideal for daytime use on the weekend. Alternatively, if you're looking to relax, kick up your feet and let Grape Gasoline's physical stone take over as you soak up the sun, watch a movie, or listen to music. Many users also enjoy smoking grape gas in the company of close friends for a relaxing, fun session.

Note that Grape Gasoline is very strong and, for users with a lower tolerance, may prove too distracting for daytime use. If you find you have a low tolerance for THC or the physical aspect of some strains, consider reserving this variety for nighttime or weekend/holiday use when you can lean back into its strong high without falling into a worry spiral because you're not able to get things done.

Uses of Grape Gas

Grape Gasoline is very popular, and it's not hard to see why. Its rich flavours and aromas, combined with its well-balanced high make it an enticing choice for a variety of smokers, from recreational stoners to daytime users who want to be able to stay productive after lighting up. Moreover, the fact that the strain comes from Compound Genetics (one of the US' top cannabis brands) also reassures users of the its quality.

Based on reports and reviews from a large sample of recreational and medical cannabis users, Grape Gasoline is a great strain for:

• Daytime use

• Watching the sunset

• Cozy sessions at home

• Weekend use or vacations

• Low-key social settings

• Listening to music or watching TV

Note that, due to its potency, Grape Gasoline produces intense effects that may prove overwhelming to some people. If you're new to cannabis or have a low tolerance to THC and its effects, for example, you may want to take it easy when smoking this variety to avoid experiencing unwanted side effects, such as:

• Dry eyes

• Dry mouth

• Dizziness and headaches

• Anxiety and paranoia

Cultivation/Production of Grape Gasoline

Grape Gas S1 (a self-pollinated version of the original Grape Gasoline by Compound Genetics) is currently listed on CLTVTD's website, suggesting that clones of this strain may be available for sale. Other cannabis nurseries also claim to stock clones of this variety. However, no seedbanks seem to be selling Grape Gasoline in seed form.

According to CLTVTD and other nurseries, Grape Gasoline is an indica-looking strain that stays nice and compact and grows particularly well indoors. She seems to respond well to training and can also handle heavy feeding up until the 3rd week of bloom. Grape Gasoline is said to stretch up to 3 times its height and can be harvest-ready after 7-9 weeks of bloom time. Unfortunately, we do not know how much this strain yields.

Grape Gas - A Dank and Gassy Creation From Compound Genetics

Grape Gasoline was created by Chris Lynch at Compound Genetics sometime between 2017-2022. The strain is known to produce dark, dense indica flowers with a pungent aroma of berries, grapes, and diesel fuel. Its flavour is sweet and slightly earthy, and its effects combine an initial cerebral euphoria with a growing body stone. With up to 25% THC and many terpenes, Grape Gasoline is a tasty, aromatic, and potent smoke that seems to appear to seasoned smokers who can handle its intense effects. Rookies, however, should take it easy when smoking this heavy indica.
