Basic / Breeders Info

Queen of Soul is a mostly sativa variety from and can be cultivated indoors (where the plants will need a flowering time of ±63 days) and outdoors. Brothers Grimms Queen of Soul is a THC dominant variety and is/was never available as feminized seeds.

Brothers Grimms Queen of Soul Description

Brothers Grimm Queen of Soul Queen of Soul is the result of a breeding program that spanned 3 generations. Starting with our favorite Cinderella 99 female which has proven for over 15 years to create the classic flavors, high, and resin production that made C99 famous. We crossed her to an exceptional Vortex (by TGA) male, then grew hundreds of her seedlings to maturity and evaluated them. The finest male from this generation was chosen to pollinate Princess (mother of Cinderella) which created a 3-way hybrid of Princess x C99/Vortex. The resulting seedlings were grown and evaluated to select a male for a second backcross to Princess – which produced the amazing hybrid that we call “Queen of Soul.”
These are dense, compact Christmas-tree shaped Sativa dominant plants, displaying the typical long, thin leaves. However, their floral structure, and overall bud size is much heavier than a Sativa – very large, resinous flowers. And the flowering time is more like an Indica too; Queen of Soul flowers for 60-65 days, producing heavy flowers with very exotic, tropical fruit aromas and a spicy incense undertone. Mangos, pineapples, honeydew melons, citrus and patchouli waft through the room while they’re flowering. The bag appeal of these frosty buds, reeking with exotic aromas is just incomparable. The high is very energetic and cerebral. You’re sure to find an outstanding female – with a high yield, delicious flavor, and amazing potency.

One last tip – look for trifoliate individuals – we have found them to be extra special.

We recommend 60-65 days of 12/12 flowering – after the seedling are 6-8 weeks old.

Taste is just like Soul describes. It has a Mango Pineapple like scent and just as noted in description, it cuts through everything. I love the flavor - it is a nice smooth smoke and instant smack you between the eyes effect, which personally I really enjoy.

I finally grew these out to satisfaction after initial challenges and the yield is fantastic. This is definitely a keeper. have a 3 Gal and approximately 5 Gal pot and easily 2-3 ounces per plant on the way. Flowered at 23" and 24" respectively and stretches about 14 inches - so just over 3 Feet tall each. Outdoors, these must be insane...

The Vortex really adds a punch. Very high leaf ratio, but flowers are big fluffier flowers and branches are leaning from weight - awesome!

Might be too strong from some users. I am growing Apollo XX and it is a fantastic flower with awesome effects as well and Queen of Soul cuts right past it. I do notice I get sleepier on the downside. Another puff and back up, but not the best day smoke （IMHO）. Apollo XX - Definitely!

You won't be disappointed if you like good hard hitting Sativa dominants.

I did not take good records of when I put this into 12/12, so my guess is about 21 day - but it exploded into the nicest looking bushy plant I have ever grown to date. Been at it about 20 years off and on and I know they are out there, but just never found one in the beans I popped. She needs some room for spreading out but looks to have a great yield potential. Main cola is filling in nicely now as well.

Impressive - this is a forever in my garden now for certain. It is huge and bud sites are everywhere.

22 Feb 2021 - Just after taking the pictures of this beauty, I looked the very next day and noticed - ahhh - bud rot! Corrected in my grow tent and all clones are looking great. Fortunately with this beauty, I used the cloth grow pot so it was nice and clean and the smoke is incredible.

I was able to easily pull 1 1/2 ounces from this QOS and had to pull her early and never vegged her out as long as I could have. I did move some earlier clones into 12/12 after about 8 inches and they did not stretch nearly like I expected or wanted, so not going to get the same yield.

If you read MrSouls description, it really is dead on. The taste is great and smooth - that I really enjoyed and it definitely cuts through everything - almost seems like no ceiling as it great all day long. The high reminds more of the intense Cinderella and it can probably be too intense for some users. I love the high THC smack you in the eyes type flowers and this is just an incredible plant and beautiful to grow. I had started all my clones in hydro once they rooted, but QOS didn't like it much. Pulled them out of Hydro and put back into Cloth pots and they are really starting to take off. Growing all of my gear in cloth pots and they look so much healthier and are really taking off. I have Killer Queen & Grimm Glue almost ready to flower and DTC99 and a couple other Grimms gear and they all looking outstanding.

28 April 2021 - Day 42 for my 3 Gal pot and the buds are the largest I have grown out I think. There is still another 10 days or so per Calendar, but this one looks ready. 5 Gal pot is a week behind and significant difference in bud since in just one week difference in flower start time.
