Additional Information

Purple Satellite was a pleasure to grow. The 3 plants I grew all had the same characteristics. They all had the same growth structure, dark purple stems, and the final product was a lovely lavender colored bud. I topped them multiple times to produce more tops. They responded well and all the tops ended up nice and fat and heavy. I have a short growing season and it can rain a lot spontaneously. I never broke a branch because of the rain. There were no white mold issues. I had caterpillars/budworms really bad that year; all my plants had them. I can’t say if this plant is better at withstanding those but the worms were easier to spot against the purple buds!!! I had white mold really bad that year too but there was none on the Purple Satellite. I had very little bud rot but that is pretty typical in my cold wet climate with bigger colas.

The smoke was not terribly strong but very noticeable and enjoyable. Kind of a middle ground sativa smoke that doesn’t send you sky high with half a joint, but it also does not seem to have a ceiling. Great if you are working around the house or getting outdoors or sharing with friends. I actually had to harvest a little early because of the freezing weather (she survived 2 or 3 nights just below freezing). I think the buds could have ripened for a couple more weeks.

10/10 for my overall satisfaction with Purple Satellite. I was really looking for IBL and landrace type sativas and this one really made me happy. Good bag appeal, fat buds, classic sativa high, easy to grow - what more do you need?

Happy Growing.
