This was an easy strain to grow, needed little attention. Tolerated the nutrient strength of a wide range of strains, making it a good choice for a mixed crop. Turned out to have very dense buds, 50/50 cola to single bud ratio. Not much larf. The yield was ok, but not one of the best, this is a connoisseur grade strain that has great taste, structure, growth and very strong, not a cash crop, but high bag appeal resulting in a good price. Trichome density would lend itself well to concentrate production. Leaves sugar up very well and is very good for BHO extraction with above average yield. (28.09.2016, 14:59)

ICE went hermie with no outside input

was in tent with three other strains

it started female then started showing balls

I picked them off but it eventually turned totally male

never seen that before

only 2/5 germed

One of my favorite strains. I'm growing another 3 straight after growing 2. The high is long lasting and heavy. A very high leaf to flower ratio. Massive stretch so plan accordingly. Nirvana recommend a 8-9 week flowering period but i suggest a 9-10 week flower if you want a strong hit, just look at some of the online forums.

Note on nutrients!

Ice is very nitrogen sensitive. Go easy on the nutrient levels during the veg stage. I started off using a quarter strength and only upped the dosage when the leaves started showing signs of deficiency.

Summary-:

Needs a little more TLC than other strains but you'll be more than rewarded when the time comes. (24.03.2015, 23:01)
