Basic / Breeders Info

Seed Junkys Georgia Pie Description

Georgia Pie is a slightly indica-dominant cannabis strain that gets its name from its sweet peach aroma. Bred by Seed Junky and marketed by Cookies, this THC powerhouse has quickly become very popular among smokers and medical patients across the US, Canada, and other parts of the world. Keep reading to learn more about this strain, its origins, genetics, grow traits, and more.

Strain History of Georgia Pie

Georgia Pie was created by the US seed bank Seed Junky Genetics. Headed by Anthony Hart (aka Jbeezy), Seed Junky started out like most seed banks do—in a small garage back in the 2000s, fueled by nothing but a deep passion for growing and breeding cannabis. Today, Seed Junky is one of the biggest names in American cannabis, and for very good reason; Jbeezy's relentless breeding projects and pheno hunts have brought about some of today's most popular strains, including:

• Ice Cream Cake

• Wedding Cake

• Kush Mints

While Seed Junky created Georgia Pie, the strain was heavily promoted in collaboration with Cookies. Today, Georgia Pie is extremely popular among both recreational and medical smokers, who treasure the strain's unique peach aromas and flavors, as well as its strong effects.

Genetic Lineage of Georgia Pie

Georgia Pie is the result of a cross between Gelatti, a Cookies Fam creation bred from OG Biscotti and GSC, and Kush Mints, one of Seed Junky's flagship hybrids. The combination of these two strains contributes to Georgia Pie's unique aroma, as well as its potency and grow traits.

Georgia Pie's first parent, Gelatti, is a sought-after strain from the Cookies brand with a 50/50 split of indica and sativa genetics, 22% THC, and a well-balanced high ideal for sunny or cozy afternoons. It also boasts strong gelato aromas coupled with dank notes of gas, and creates an uplifting, vibrant head high while calming the body. Like many Cookies strains, Gelatti has never been sold in seed or clone form.

Meanwhile, Georgia Pie's second parent is Kush Mints, a Seed Junky favorite bred from Bubba Kush and Animal Mints. With 23% THC, this well-balanced hybrid packs quite a punch and is known to produce a classic relaxed, hungry, and happy stone. Kush Mints' aroma is, you guessed it, fresh and minty with earthy notes of coffee and cookies.

Physical Characteristics of Georgia Pie

Unfortunately, Seed Junky provides no information about the physical appearance of Georgia Pie. All the information we've compiled below comes from growers and secondary sources, such as seed banks.

Georgia Pie is only slightly indica dominant, which shines through in the strain's manageable height. Plants grow to only about 80cm indoors, though outdoor specimens may get a little taller. They usually produce large, dark green, thin-fingered leaves as well as strong branches with medium-spaced nodes that, during bloom, house beautiful clusters of flowers.

Georgia Pie buds look like typical indica flowers, with tight stacks of calyxes and fiery orange-red pistils. The strain has a high tendency to develop deep purple hues that give the flowers great bag appeal. As is to be expected of such a highly regarded hybrid, Georgia Pie is an excellent resin producer and can deliver bountiful yields of dense flowers with a thick and frosty coating of sticky trichomes.

Properties and Effects of Georgia Pie

Georgia Pie is very potent. The strain is estimated to contain about 26% THC, as well 2–3% CBD, which is fairly high for such a THC-rich strain. According to various online sources, Georgia Pie is also rich in the terpenes caryophyllene, limonene, and pinene.

Georgia Pie is highly regarded for its fresh, fruity aroma with notable cookie undertones that many compare to that of freshly baked peach cobbler (hence the name). Those with a trained nose and taste buds may also pick up on notes of berries, cherries, and sugary pastry. Her effects come on very quickly, producing an intense body and head high. A few tokes is all it will take for this strain to send a warming, tingly rush across your body while jolting your mind into a happy, uplifted haze. Soon after, you might also feel hungry, aroused, and ecstatic—ideal for relaxing at home alone or with that special someone.

Uses of Georgia Pie

Georgia Pie is beloved by both recreational smokers and medical patients. Her strong, hazy high is ideal for unwinding after a long day, either at home or out in nature. While some users find her effects to be creative and social, don't expect to be overly productive when smoking Georgia Pie. Instead, lean into her heavy daze and enjoy the opportunity to unwind and decompress. Watching TV, napping, listening to music/podcasts, and relaxing out in nature are all activities that pair perfectly with Georgia Pie's strong effects.

Medical patients also turn to Georgia Pie for relief from a wide variety of symptoms. The strain's uplifting, happy head high can be ideal for those dealing with symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. Meanwhile, many patients also report that Georgia Pie's physical buzz can help them experience temporary relief from physical aches and pains. Also, thanks to her ability to cause the munchies, Georgia Pie may be useful for patients looking to boost their appetite or mitigate nausea. Finally, patients with sleep issues may also find this strain to work as the perfect natural nightcap.

As is the case with all high-THC strains, Georgia Pie can cause certain side effects, especially in people with a low tolerance for THC. Some of the negative effects of Georgia Pie reported by users include:

• Headaches

• Anxiety and paranoia

• Dry mouth and eyes

Cultivation and Production of Georgia Pie

Seed Junky and Cookies keep a very close guard on their genetics. That means it's very difficult to source real seeds or clones of their strains, including Georgia Pie. Nonetheless, there are some grow reports of this strain out there, which provide some basic insight into Georgia Pie's traits and yields.

In general, growers report that Georgia Pie is easy to cultivate, especially due to its compact height and growth. Like most indica-dominant hybrids, Georgia Pie responds well to training and trimming, as well as light fertilization. The strain tends to grow vigorously, producing plenty of healthy foliage and bud sites in just a few weeks. Once in bloom, Georgia Pie plants quickly become heavy with fat, smelly buds that develop dark purple hues. On average, growers report harvesting Georgia Pie after 8–10 weeks of bloom. Yield reports vary, but most growers say that Georgia Pie can produce up to 500g/plant outdoors and roughly 500g/m² indoors.

Most growers agree that Georgia Pie is fairly easy to cultivate and suitable for both beginner and experienced growers. The plant has strong genetics and grows vigorously both indoors and outdoors. Some grow reports suggest that Georgia Pie likes warm, humid temperatures, especially during its vegetative cycle. During bloom, it's best to dial down the humidity if growing indoors, as its dense flowers may trap humidity and develop mold.

Georgia Pie — A Delicious, Fruity Treat From Seed Junky and Cookies

Georgia Pie, as its name suggests, wows smokers with its delicious peachy dessert aroma. Plus, with up to 26% THC and hard-hitting mental and physical effects, this strain is loved by recreational smokers with a high tolerance and medical patients looking for long-lasting relief.

I cracked 2 seeds from Seed Junky one was i think the top phenotype of the genetic the other one wasn't as good. The first one grew fast and stretched pretty well the other one was slow at first and isn't anywhere near as frosty as the first one. The smell has some chem scent to it with a sweet fruit. The taste isn't as peachy as it could be but i'm also on 8th day of cure so it could come out more.
regardless this is the best plant ive ever grown... as long as its the top pheno. I uploaded a pic while still growing at day 55
