Cheese is an indica/sativa variety from and can be cultivated indoors (where the plants will need a flowering time of ±63 days) and outdoors. Big Buddhas Cheese is a THC dominant variety and is/was also available as feminized seeds.

Big Buddhas Cheese Description

Big Buddha Seeds Cheese Genetics: Skunk No. 1 (Cheese) x Afghani
Type: f1 Hybrid
Harvest Date: October/November
Flowering Period: 8-10 Weeks
THC Content: Unknown
Numero de Semillas Por Paquete: 10
Characteristics: Good yields with pungent cheesy smell.

Cheese is a unique strain, until now, available as clone form only. Like many cannabis strains the history and origins of Cheese are somewhat confused and distorted.

Cheese originated in 1988-89 as one unique female phenotype out of packet of Sensi Seeds Skunk No. 1 grown somewhere in the Chiltern Hills. This one plant produced impressively large buds and had a very distinctive cheesy odour. It was quickly cloned and named Cheese.

Around 1995 a Cheese clone was passed on to Exodus, an alternative community living in Haz Hall on the edges of Luton. Exodus organised free parties, championed the legalisation of cannabis, grew cannabis themselves and protected each other from the law. They also started CANABIS (Campaign Against Narcotic Abuse Because of Ignorance in Society). Because of all the people that passed through the Exodus community many clones were handed out to visitors and the strain continued to grow in notoriety.

For many years Cheese has passed around an underground network of growers in the UK, helped by Exodus and others, until one clone came into the hands of the Big Buddha.

The Big Buddha realised its importance and set about crossing the clone with a suitable father. This he found in a traditional landrace, pure-bred Afghani that a friend had brought back from Afghanistan during travels in that area.

The result is a strain that takes 8 - 10 weeks to flower and is consistently a much better yielder than the original Cheese, and flavour and taste is well preserved. Appealing fruity fresh smell, uplifting effect, highly pungent hence its name!

Big Buddha Cheese carries strong fruity Skunk #1 notes along with a creamier cheese expression, compared to others offered. Although strong smelling it wasn't as 'stinky' as others and mine didn't express farmyard manure also found elsewhere.

This strain is the best ive ever grown in 10 years. Beats all the og kushes. The phenotype I got isnt cheesy, it could be marketed as super lemon skunk as the lemonyness is off the charts. And has this ultra dankness to the smell also, smells through the bag.

The high though is why im reveging and keeping a clone mother. so so strong, gets you totally baked, to the point of slight paranoia if you go too far.No ceiling high, keep going, keep getting more baked. Sends you off into a deep restful sleep. Never before has a strain helped so much with sleep. Best of all , it hits the same every night, theres no tolerance build up. crazy. I also suffer from an autoimmune skin condition which has been chronic for the last 7 months, have had perfect skin since i started using this. There must be very high anti inflammatory properties

The BB Cheese is maybe the best overall strain for me. It»s easy to grow, the buds smell absolutely delicious and the high is excellent for all day enjoyment. This one is also a good med for pain, I recovered from a knee surgery just with cheese as my help for the pain. Just let the buds mature well and the high will last a long long time.

Two out of my 10 carried the cheese-smell, 1 of those was low yielding and smelt only of cheese, the other was an exquisite fruity cheese that I preferred to even blue-cheese. The other 8 were a mix of Afgani like structure and crystallisation and a dank fruity smell and taste, with a couple of taller more Central American Sativa like plants with hints of the Mexican in smell and taste especially.

Indeed an old school experience!! grown it in plagron soil, no fertilization, just some guano.. 3 indica like phenos and 2 sativa X-mas trees!! taste could be a bit better, yet the high is really old school, funny and long lasting!! recommendable on every level. def. going to grow that one again. Well done Big Buddha!
