History of The Bacio Gelato Strain

Bacio Gelato was developed by Mario Guzman, founder of Sherbinskis. Genetic Lineage of Bacio Gelato

Also known as Gelato #41, Bacio Gelato is Sherbinski's most popular strain and the most potent of all Gelato varieties. It was created from a cross of Sunset Sherbert and Thin Mint Cookies.

Sunset Sherbet is Mario Guzman's flagship creation and the strain with which he first found fame among smokers, medical patients, and other growers/breeders. Combining GSC and Pink Panties, Guzman created a hybrid with exceptionally fruity aromas and decadent, creamy undertones. Taste-test a batch of original Sunset Sherbet from Sherbinskis, and you'll pick up on notes of creamy desserts, dark chocolate, hoppy citrus (think of the scent of a fresh IPA), honey, and spice. However, some US clone nurseries claim to stock original Bacio Gelato clones, and seedbanks such as Premium Cultivars and The Seed Connect also stock Bacio Gelato seeds. Humboldt Seed Organization has also released San Bacio Gelato, a cross of Gelato #41 and Three King's Blueberry, resulting in a 75 indica-dominant cultivar. How these varieties compare to the original Bacio Gelato, however, isn't clear.

While it's hard to find specific information about the growth traits of Bacio Gelato, some growers claim that the strain is fairly easy to grow and flowers in 9 weeks. Unfortunately, it doesn't produce great yields. However, due to its heavy resin production, Bacio Gelato lends itself very well to the making of extracts.
