World of Seeds Bank Southafrican Kwazulu South African Kwazulu

A 100% Sativa strain that grows wild to the north of the Drakensberg ridge, she flowers early, has a sweet taste and a physical and energising effect. Grown by generations of Shaka Zulus, who were one of Africa’s most significant farmer warrior tribes, legend has it that this plant was used in the battle preparations prior to the first British attack in 1879 and that her long-lasting and galvanising properties enabled the outnumbered and outgunned Zulu army to repel the enemy invaders. One of the most resistant strains to pests and mildew, her genetics allow her to be grown indoors and outside even at European latitudes.

Extremely stimulating, excellent pest resistance (Aphids-green and root)(Mites),They did well against caterpillars also. They were susceptible to mold, and should not be revegged. These were very fast, quick trigger. They were highly affected by photoperiod and could revert easily.

The taste and smell sweet concord grape incense.(High GCA)

This is definitely worth using in a breeding program.

starts to flower at the begin of september, harvest at the end of october, medium yields and not the biggest buds, but i can recommend it for outdoor, only a bit mold, effect like durban poison (clear, no tiredness, antidepressant), seems not to be a real landrace, looks like a hybrid, 7 of 7 sprouted, no problems!

Outdoor Grow:

Die Sorte Southafrican Kwazulu wurde am 49ten Breitengrad kultiviert.

Insgesamt ist die Sorte sehr schnell und vital gewachsen.

Vom Wuchsmuster her eine reine Sativa Genetik.

Leider ist die Sorte (mitte September) nicht in die Blüte gegangen.

Insgesamt glaube ich kaum, dass die Sorte auch draußen gut abwirft.

Daher kann ich Sorte leider draußen nicht weiterempfehlen.

It's a special plant. Straight out of Africa, cultivated by the local people for ceremonious purposes. It is said, that the Zulu people smoked it before they went into war...

Pheno #1

Smell: Intense smell like petroleum/diesel with deep sour/chemical smell when still alive. At the end of the flowering period it turned purple and got darker and darker, till it looked almost black. The pistils were very rare on this plant and no very good to indicated maturaty. I used a magnifying glass and cut her down when resin turned milky, with just very few amber. Maybe a bit to early for most people ;)

After about half a year of ripening in the fridge, the smell is fruity (grape), a bit chemical and very strong. The chemical clear smell kind of reminds of grapefruits. But with some unexplainable hints of ...??, it has a very unique deepness to it. In fact very wild and untamed :)

Flowering time: 65 days

The high is crazy and wild. It got a strong stimulating effect, that feels like you're beeing eletrified. You have to cure it for at least half a year, to make it more comfortable and enjoyable, or maybe let it flower a bit longer. Otherwise it will most likely be overpowering and put you in a nervous state of mind, where you want to run away but somehow you're to numbed to do so.

After some ripening it's a very clear high, that calms you down, at the end with a slight stoney feeling. Very good in Joints and with lots of caution it can be smoked in a pipe. But be aware that too much of it, can highten your perception to a level that is not comfortable. So choose your surrounding wisely. At a certain point it's overstimulation and you get realy nervous and your stomach will ache. Well dosed it can be compared with coffee. The right amount and you're on your feet, clear, focused and ready for action. To much and you're getting sick and nervous...

Pheno #2

Smell similar smell, but less, with a warm, sweet musky tone and fresh green dominating.

Flowering time: 59 days.

The high is a bit warmer. Whereas the purple pheno seems to make you careless, the green pheno seems to stimulate you body more and is more emotional, but still in a very psychedelic and clear headed way.

Be aware, this weed is made for warriors, but smoked in a responsible way (right dose, people you're comfortable with and a nice surrounding) this might enlight your day without leaving you knocked out. My personal advice is, you have to move with this strain, go out and do something, but don't sit on your couch, scarred and paranoid ;P

Durban Poison is a much more predicable. It usually makes you positive, feel good and social, with only slight stone at the end. The Kwazulu speeds you up to a point, that you have to be able to manage. So have fun!
