Green Mountain Seeds' Purple Satellite Description

Green Mountain Seeds Purple Satellite The Purple Satellite is a hybrid between a Highland Oaxacan 1979 and a BlueHemp Baglung Nepali, bred by Vermontman.

Vermontman's strain of Oaxacan Gold came in on a shipment through Marthas Vineyard, one Kilo made it into the hands of a good dealer friend of mine in 1979.

The Terpene profile of the Purple Satellite is a nice blend of both cultivars. A mix between Pine/cedar and fruity/berry syrup licorice. Some phenos smelling of sweet cherrys.

The High is a warm head high which stays between your eyes without being uncomfortable(no heart racing), the Nepali also brings some nice relaxing feeling to it.

Purple Satellite was a pleasure to grow. The 3 plants I grew all had the same characteristics. They all had the same growth structure, dark purple stems, and the final product was a lovely lavender colored bud. I topped them multiple times to produce more tops. They responded well and all the tops ended up nice and fat and heavy. I have a short growing season and it can rain a lot spontaneously. I never broke a branch because of the rain. There were no white mold issues. I had caterpillars/budworms really bad that year; all my plants had them. I can’t say if this plant is better at withstanding those but the worms were easier to spot against the purple buds!!! I had white mold really bad that year too but there was none on the Purple Satellite. I had very little bud rot but that is pretty typical in my cold wet climate with bigger colas.

The smoke was not terribly strong but very noticeable and enjoyable. Kind of a middle ground sativa smoke that doesn’t send you sky high with half a joint, but it also does not seem to have a ceiling. Great if you are working around the house or getting outdoors or sharing with friends. I actually had to harvest a little early because of the freezing weather (she survived 2 or 3 nights just below freezing). I think the buds could have ripened for a couple more weeks.

10/10 for my overall satisfaction with Purple Satellite. I was really looking for IBL and landrace type sativas and this one really made me happy. Good bag appeal, fat buds, classic sativa high, easy to grow - what more do you need?

Happy Growing.

PURPLE SATELLITE

OAXACAN GOLD PURPLE LINE X BLUEHEMPS BAGLUNG SATIVA

Fully endorsed by ACE SEED CO the most reputable Sativa seed source,

and available on their site under the logo

GREEN MOUNTAIN SEEDS

Purple Satellite got its name for it's purple spear shaped buds that aim towards the sky. and Satellite because of it being the first time seed release by Green Mountain Seeds.

Purple Satellite grows to it's potential by being started indoors in early April under 24 hour light cycle, and moved outdoors after last threat of frost their final pots of 30 liters and can benefit from having pots partially buried in good rich garden soil, for further root penetration.

Purple Satellite outdoors finishing at latitude 42 north, from early to late Sept making Purple Satellite the earliest pure Sativa in its class for the most northern gardens.

Outdoors she is very mold resistant if you mind your nutrients starting early flower.

Purple Satellite is not prone to hermaphrodite but,

Indoors Purple Satellite takes special skills to flower properly. She does best under 360W per three square feet of red heavy LED grow lights at a flowering initiation time of 14/10 light cycle or the first several weeks. Then graduating down to 13/11 for a few weeks then down to 12/12 to finish. This comes from the Nepali side o the strain being adapted to growing in the most northern regions of Denmark where the summer day length is very long.

Purple Satellite also can be grown outdoors and brought indoors during mid flower after stretch for also exquisite results. Again under red heavy LED grow light at 13/11 for two weeks and then 12/12 to finish.LED brings on the most intense purple coloring out in the buds.

Purple Satellite is not especially sensitive to feeding, up to flowering and seems to thrive best on organic amendments.

After watching several grows of Purple Satellite on line, I purchased 2 packs of seeds.

These plants have GREAT vigor. They grow at a steady rate. There is very little variation between the plants I grew.

Without doubt the most Beautiful Cannabis plants I have ever grown.

I grew 4 plants each yielded me 4-5 oz of Prime Bud.

Smoking the Purple Satellite matches the experience of growing them.

Very potent Sativa with no sativa wave of anxiety. A great high which is reminiscent of some of the better smoke I had back in the 70's and 80's when I was very lucky indeed.

I recommend this variety completely
