Basic / Breeders Info

C99 is a mostly sativa variety from and can be cultivated indoors (where the plants will need a flowering time of ±53 days) (as like as outdoors in the right climate zones). Female Seeds' C99 is a CBD Strain with more THC than CBD and is/was only available as feminized seeds.

Female Seeds' C99 Description

Female Seeds C99 It was one of the first strains in female seeds that was launched at the birth of Female Seeds in 2003. But Ferry actually first started working on this strain back in 1999 and the first batch he produced of this amazing variety were regular seeds for a different seedbank. Years of experimenting with the original Brothers Grimm C99 led to the creation of our very own C99. The origins are difficult to establish, but it was a long flowering Sweet Tai landrace crossed with a short flowering Sativa. Most likely, the Durban Poison.

The current batch we are selling was backcrossed to stabilize the genetics with two specially selected C99 phenotypes, a Grapefruit and the legendary Pineapple pheno. The result is the holy grail of cannabis strains, a fast flowering Sativa that has the taste and high of an exceptionally sweet landrace Sativa. A landrace that would normally take up to a half a year of flowering. Yet our C99 flowers in just 8 to 9 weeks. Our C99 has an unusually high CBD content for a Sativa strain. It actually resulted in a new chemotype, CBD-Sativa.

The C99 does not stretch too much and grows like a dream, very vigorous. If you really want to maximize yield, we suggest you veg the C99 for four weeks. Outdoor it stretches more than average in the flowering stage reaching a height of between 2 to 3 metres.

This C99 is a Sativa dominant hybrid and has 2 phenos. One is slightly more compact and the other stretches slightly more. The C99 forms one giant, candle shaped bud with several smaller nugs on lower branches. All very dense and frosty with resin.

Topping this strain or LST is not a problem for the C99. She is also a great strain for outdoor finishing mid-October in more temperate and warmer climates. The C99 is very mold resistant outdoors due to its bud structure. Therefor high humidity is not an issue for the C99.

One phenotype has that wonderful grapefruit smell. The other phenotype has that legendary, sought-after pineapple smell. On the whole, a very nice balanced taste between fruity sweet and pleasantly acidic. The high is a typically Sativa; a warm, glowing, happy and uplifting effect. This high is long-lasting and stimulates the mind providing you with plenty of creative energy.

Medicinal:
neuropathic pain management (class A)
Relief of symptoms for Crohn’s disease and Colitis Ulcerosa (Class A)
relief of symptoms of insomnia (Class B)
Relief of symptoms of spasms and MS due to its CBD content (Class C)

Mine smelled like fruitjuice, tending to pineapple.

1,90m tall, no mold, fungus, or pests, dry yield: almost a 100gr.

Strong happiness-effect ; Not a couch locker!

very recommendable for outdoors

really enjoyable smoke. grown outdoors in northern new england (US). mine came out smelling like freshly squeezed orange juice. medium yield, didnt measure it (dont have a working scale). filled three cup sized mason jars with it, maybe 2oz tops? the plant doesnt mind topping or defoilating. held up well considering all of the rain. doesnt thrive outside - im going to try growing it greenhouse next. we had a rainy summer here and my dutch passion frisian dew loved it. this plant, the leaves curled under and looked upset. i think my greenhouse yields will be higher.

but this high is nice! energetic sativa, good vibes, not long lasting but none of the bad sativa traits either (paranoia, racing thoughts). great strain to start the day. alongside a glass of OJ :)

I grew out 1 C99 under 2x400whps in a ebb and flow. My phenotype was short and bushy and flowered in 60 days. It smells and tastes of grapefruit, and is a smooth smoke. It wasn't the greatest yielder but I would still highly recommend this strain. I now see why it's called the holy grail. I will be keeping this strain around for a while.

started from 12/12 in 0,6L Pots and repotted once in flower to 1gal root pouch. Untopped it reached a height of app. 60cm with a single freaking huge head bud and some smaller but nice buds on its rather short sidebranches. The longer you veg the better the side branches. Good strain for SOG from 12/12 but also very well suited for SCROG. Two phenos, one pineapple, sweet and overall impressive pheno. Take a cut and be happy. The other one is grapefruity/hazey and a little bit stronger but overall less desireable. Yield is excellent and i would recommened about 60 days flower. If you let her grow any longer you will get some nanners and maybe a couple of seeds. I know some start freaking out once they hear nanners but if you take it at 55 days there wont be any nanners. Even though the S1 seeds are top notch either as I grew 5 of them out.

It yields heavily as I almost reached 1g/W from seed with my second grow resulting in 200g of dried super frosty and tasty weed.

Grew it along with Grape (75% C99) and would grow them again.

Overall its really almost the holy grail and femaleseeds offers you some of the best seeds for a fair price

I topped mine at the fifth node and it responded by giving multiple even tops. It was quite slow to get going in veg but exploded in flower and had formed colas with 30 days, over the next 20 days it piled on the resin and looked stunning. Very, very low profile while growing and flowering, no filter or even air freshener needed. Stinks a lot when drying and cures to a subtle pineapple smell that is more citrus when ground up. Yield was 2.5 ounces from a 250 watt hps light. Very nice high that remains pleasing after continual use, very, very strong if you manage to keep your tolerance low, but a pleasing middle high to high buzz even with tolerance.
